![]() ![]() There are very few duds, if at all, and plenty of hits. I didnt really get into this album until my last year in college and you start to think about who will remember you and what you may be losing as you move on. ![]() ![]() However, I think the general concepts of looking back on your roots and wondering if people remember you makes it a great album to listen to if you're ever at a transitional part of your life. I didnt listen to it at the time, so the impact of all of Jay's retrospect and legacy questioning falls a bit flat since he's dropped several albums since this one. My one issue with this album is all the lines about retiring. It's got two of my favorite Jay tracks (Encore and Allure) and Dirt Off Your Shoulder, 99 Problems, What More Can I Say, etc all hold up well. ![]() This isnt my favorite Jay album but it would be the best release in most rapper's careers.
